Pre Poll events "2022 federal election"

Before the 2022 Australian Federal Election, major polling organizations tracked voter
sentiment through regular opinion polls. Companies like YouGov, Essential Media, Roy
Morgan, and Resolve Strategic measured key metrics, including primary vote shares, two
party-preferred (TPP) estimates, and public perceptions of major party leaders.
These polls highlighted trends in voter preferences and the issues that mattered most to
the electorate. Pollsters used a variety of methods from online surveys to phone
interviews to capture representative samples. Media outlets relied on these results for
analysis, while political parties used the data to adjust their campaign strategies.
Although individual poll results varied, aggregated data provided insights into
competitive seats and election momentum, with TPP estimates between Labor and the
Coalition closely watched as key indicators. While polls oAered valuable snapshots of
public opinion, their accuracy was ultimately tested on election day. Historical polling
data continues to serve as a vital tool for understanding Australia’s political trends and
voter behaviour.
